A New York criminal defense attorney is sure to have their hands full with this case; if not for the alleged muggings perpetrated by the accused, then certainly for his choice of baseball teams.
Rasheem Williams, 37, has allegedly robbed a total of 14 people between January and August in the New York City subway. As Crime Stoppers explains, "In each incident the suspect approached the victims on subway trains and either displays a knife or simulates a firearm... then demands the victims property and bank card PIN numbers." He is notoriously known for wearing a Boston Red Sox cap during the muggings. As if the Yankees/ Red Sox rivalry needed any more bad blood...
The New York Post reports that Williams was caught stealing by authorities in Rocky Mount, NC, but it is unknown what he was engaged in at the time.
