Michael Douglas' son, Cameron Douglas, pleaded guilty to drug trafficking. He is being represented by  Mr. Nicholas M. De Feis.

The 31-year-old is set to face a minimum of 10 years in jail, with a maximum of life in prison. His sentencing is scheduled for April 27. The CBS News Blog reports that Cameron Douglas pleaded guilty to dealing large amounts of methamphetamine and cocaine out of a New York hotel room at Hotel Gansevoort in New York's Meatpacking District. In the intercepted phone calls, Cameron Douglas called the drugs "pastry" or "bath salts."

The UK Press Agency reports that in addition to his guilty plea concerning drug distribution, Cameron Douglas pleaded guilty to possession of heroin. The latter is from allegations that while he was under house arrest, his girlfriend attempted to bring it to him inside of an electric toothbrush.

Cameron Douglas admitted to dealing drugs as early as 2006. After his first attempt, Douglas said, "I began supplying on a regular basis." When asked if he understood that his actions were wrong, Douglas responded "Yes, your honor."

In response to his son's possible jail time, his father Michael Douglas was quoted by The Daily Mail as saying, "Cameron has a lot of his life ahead... He's a tough kid." While Mr. Douglas said that about his son, the CBS News Blog states that Michael Douglas plans to bail his son out of jail. He arrived in a Manhattan courtroom to sign paperwork so his son could get out on bail. Cameron Douglas will be allowed to go home until he is sentenced on April 27, 2010. Who needs a New York criminal defense attorney when you have a dad like Michael Douglas?

Michael Douglas left the courtroom shortly after he signed the documents. Michael Douglas told the NY Daily News "I have absolutely no comment."
